Following the forthcoming election set to be conducted on 9th August 2022, court has made a bold rulling targeting the civil Servants. Many have developed interest eyeing for diverse electoral positions as election poll approaches.

However, civil Servants eyeing for political seats have been asked to resign to create a room for their interest in politics. According to the ruling by high court, civil Servants contesting for political seats will have to quit their jobs by 9th of February, 2022.

This is after high court rules that any civil servant eyeing for political seat should leave office six months earlier to election poll. The move emerges as Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission (IEBC) works on preparedness for the election to ensure effective and appropriate election process.

However, IEBC in line with the ministry of interior security and Coordination affirmed to Kenyans that election will be free and fair with tight security and no any violence that might arise.
