A few days to the deadline set by IEBC on the choosing of the running mates for both the governor’s and presidential candidates, pressure is pilling on the leading coalitions.
Azimio La Umoja concluded their interviews as the narrowed down to Kalonzo Musyoka, Martha Karua and Peter Karua as the running mate candidates who will be considered as the Raila’s deputy.
Ukambani leaders have called on the former prime minister Raila Odinga to name Musyoka as the deputy due to his compitence.
On the other hand leaders from Mt Kenya and Women across the country have pledged alligence to Martha Karua as the person to be Raila’s deputy.
Blogger Robert Alai raised allegations that Kalonzo is trying cause tension like he did in 2007, where he stopped Raila’s presidency after drifting away from ODM Kenya.
“I am told by a source within Wiper leadership that Kalonzo is looking to create a crisis like 2007. He is looking for such a serious crisis to raise his stakes and it’s not looking good for him,” Robert Alai asserted.
Today while speaking at the coast Raila Odinga promised to fight against land Injustices that have troubled people for a long time.
“Tutamaliza mambo ya dhulma ya ardhi. Tuko na dawa ya kumaliza huu ugonjwa.” Raila says his first priority will be to settle squatters at the Coast when elected President.
