The Star posted a list of some leaders allied to the former prime minister who were handed direct tickets to vie for various positions under the ODM party.
Leaders who majorly hail from his Nyanza backyard include Anyang Nyong’o, Gladys Wanga, James Orengo, Otiende Omollo, Oburu Odinga and Opiyo Wandanyi.
Kiambu gobernatorial aspirant William Kabogo responded to the post by the star digital media as he revealed that Raila Odinga pays loyalist and that’s the reason they stay with him.
He supported Raila’s idea about and urged other presidential aspirants such as William Ruto to follow his example even though it may not seem to be democracy.
“Baba pays loyalists, and that’s why they stay with him no matter what. Lesson for others, although one would argue that’s not democracy,” Kabogo said.
Kabogo formed the Tujibebe party that he will use to vie for the Kiambu gobernatorial seat which he lost Ferdinand Waititu in the last general election.
Tujibebe party leader joined the Kenya Kwanza political formation after the ANC National delegates meeting that was attended by deputy president Dr William Ruto.
