The incumbent Nyamira County governor Amos Nyaribo has officially launched his gubernatorial bid for Nyamira County on United Progressive Party ahead of August election poll.
Governor Amos Nyaribo who served as Deputy governor, succeeded late governor John Obiero Nyagarama following his sudden demise in his second term in office.
Governor Amos Nyaribo has vowed to contest for Nyamira gubernatorial race upon the expiry of the late Nyagarama’s term he’s holding. Reports indicates that governor Nyaribo has completed late governor Nyagarama’s pending work and he’s seeking his fresh term in office.
On Wednesday, 12 April, 2022, Nyamira County governor Amos Nyaribo and his Deputy Dr James Gesami lead the team in launching Nyamira gubernatorial bid on United Progressive Alliance (UPA) Party.
The official launch was conducted at Nyamira primary school ground in Nyamira town where about 5000 delegates and supporters attended the function. Governor Nyaribo vowed to change the face of Nyamira in his fresh term in office.
Nyamira County Gubernatorial Race is facing a stiff completion as gubernatorial aspirants takes off for the race. Governor Amos Nyaribo of UPA will be faced by Timothy Bosire(ODM), Walter Nyambati (UDA), Ben Momanyi (Wiper Party), EALA MP Joseph Kiangoi Ombasa among the others.
