This comes as Kenya Certificate of Primary Education, KCPE and Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education, KCSE set to be conducted this year.
Spilling the beans, the cabinet secretary of education Prof George Magoha has revealed how cartels embezzle bursary funds set for needy students.
It has been established that the money set aside by the ministry of education to cater for education of needy students are being embezzled.
Revealing, CS Magoha has condemned the move highlighting how needy students are suffering due to lack of bursary funds. However, it has been established that even the bursary funds issued by politicians, including Member of Parliament under Community Development Funds, are not fully issued to students.
Magoha has exposed the evil act surrounding the ministry of education and the government by that leads to embezzling of bursary funds meant for needy students. It’s indeed bad news to learners and parents who can’t be able to raise school fees.
