As the race to statehouse is getting tighter, different organizations have come up with opinion polls that seem to predict who is likely to win this year’s general election.
A study by Nation, on the last elections voting pattern outlined that Raila Odinga is likely to win the election with 8, 450, 380 votes.
Some of the counties perceived to be Raila’s stronghold include Mombasa that has 654,063, Kwale 320,782, Kilifi 582,631, Taita Taveta 179,234, Mandera 211,098, Isiolo 86,143 registered voters.
Deputy president Dr William Ruto came second with 8,040,885 votes in areas perceived to be his strongholds.
Counties perceived to be Ruto’s stronghold and the registered voters Meru 780,858, Tharaka Nithi 234,618, Embu 337,627, Nyandarua 362,357, Nyeri 492,046, Kirinyaga 378,580.
About 5,661,176 votes will be in the battle ground where Raila and Ruto will share equally with Tana River having 137,661, Lamu 79,157, Garissa 207,435, Wajir 196,466, Marsabit 164,864, Turkana 241,583 and West Pokot.214,574 votes.
